Review Toshiba Satellite A500 and Satellite U500 appears in Europe

Toshiba introduced its two new laptops in Europe, namely the two models for the Satellite series, replace a desktop PC with Satellite A500 16-inch and Satellite U500 13.3-inch notebooks. Toshiba U500 is based on the Intel Core 2 Duo, while the “older brother” A500, it can choose a complete set with Intel Core 2 Duo processor or AMD Turion X2 Ultra processor.

Toshiba Satellite A500 has 16-inch display with resolution of 1366 x 768 and an aspect ratio of 16:9 (it’s same used for most TV series and features films), so this notebook can play video in 720p HD. Toshiba Satellite U500 has 13.3-inch LCD display, 1280×800 resolutions.

Both models are equipped with RAM up to 8GB DDR2, a built-in DVD SuperMulti burner, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and running Windows Vista OS. Satellite A500 also has a maximum capacity of hard disk drive 500GB or 64GB SSD. In addition, it can boast ATI Mobility Radeon HD video card with up to 1GB DDR3. However, the Toshiba U500 is equipped to 500GB hard drive and graphics ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 (512MB DDR3 VRAM).

Toshiba Satellite U500 Notebook is available in Brown Luxe with chrome or silver accents. Toshiba Satellite A500 brings a backlit keyboard with numeric keypad and a multi-touch trackpad. Toshiba Satellite A500 and Satellite U500 will be on sale next month and will cost €699 (about $980).
